The Pen The solid brass body is finished in deep ocean-blue lacquer and laser-engraved with a wrap-around world map traced in golden lines, with each pen unique due to natural variation in the engraving and lacquer. The cap is inspired by a globe viewed from the poles and is crowned with an individually selected 2ct lapis lazuli gemstone, while the phrase "Parker 130 Years Around the World" is laser-engraved around the jewel. The 18K solid gold two-tone nib is engraved with a compass motif, a tribute to the navigational tools used during the founder's travels, and the entire pen is manually hand-assembled from 22 components at Parker's workshop in Nantes, France.
The Story This edition honours George Safford Parker, founder of the Parker Pen Company in 1888, whose passion for world travel — from Paris and Egypt to China and South America — inspired the design of some of Parker's most celebrated writing instruments. The Certificate of Authenticity included with each pen is signed by Geoffrey Parker, George's great-grandson, making every piece a direct personal connection to the brand's founding legacy.
Why This Pen For the collector who values storytelling as much as craftsmanship, this is a pen where every detail — from the lapis lazuli unique to your piece, to the hand-engraved map on the barrel — makes it genuinely one of a kind.
