The Pen
Both cap and barrel are engraved with a geometric pattern and finished under a translucent blue lacquer, evoking the way light refracts through ice crystals. The platinum-coated clip carries the embossed Montblanc name and an individual serial number. It is a twist-mechanism ballpoint, measuring 144.7 mm in length, with the substantial hand-feel of a solid metal Solitaire body.

The Story
The Glacier collection draws on the Mer de Glace, the "sea of ice" said in legend to resemble a great monster clinging to the northern slope of Mont Blanc — the same peak expressed in Montblanc's six-pointed emblem and in the 4810 that marks the height of the mountain.

Why This Pen
The engraving beneath the lacquer shifts constantly as the pen turns in the hand, giving a daily-use ballpoint the kind of visual depth usually reserved for a flagship fountain pen.
