The Pen
Cap and barrel are engraved with an exclusive geometric motif and finished under a translucent blue lacquer that echoes the refraction of light through ice crystals, with platinum-coated fittings and clip throughout. In LeGrand proportions it measures 145.8 by 15.7 mm and weighs just over 62 g, the weight of a solid metal Solitaire body. It accepts both rollerball and fineliner refills.

The Story
The Glacier collection takes its cue from the Mer de Glace, the "sea of ice" that legend describes as a great monster clinging to the northern slope of Mont Blanc — the same peak that gives Montblanc its six-pointed emblem and the 4810 marking on its nibs.

Why This Pen
The engraved pattern shifts and catches the light as the pen moves in the hand, and in the larger LeGrand format that effect has room to be properly appreciated.
